The upcoming Apple smartphone has recently been rumoured in two variants, one with the fingerprint sensor embedded at the font, underneath the display and another with the sensor placed at the back. But none of them is to have a curved screen which was long rumoured on the so called anniversary edition. A new leak has confirmed the same.

The new leak comes in form of CAD renders from Onleaks that suggest how the iPhone 8 might look. There are characteristics of the design that reveal it won’t be anything like the Samsung’s Galaxy S8. What appears at a closer look is a display topped with a 2.5D curved glass and extremely narrow bezels, probably like the LG G6.

The past few months we have seen a bunch of speculations saying that Apple will launch a new third variant of the iPhone this year. Almost everyday we head something around the iPhone and today we are hearing that the third variant will be the iPhone 8 featuring a stainless steel frame and a glass front and back finish.

The tip comes from Taiwanese website DigiTimes, which is known to keep tabs on Apple’s supply chain.

We have been hearing plenty of rumours along with analyst inputs for months even before the launch of the Apple iPhone 7. And now there is a confirmed report coming from Nikkeistating that the upcoming iPhone 8 models next year will feature an all-glass design.

What the Nikkei from it sources also confirms, is that there will be three models. A 4.7-inch iPhone 8 along with the standard 5.5-inch model and a new 5-inch model as well. So far we have only heard of a 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch model, which is Apple’s current strategy for now.
