There are times in my life that I didn’t fully appreciate while I was living those times, and only years later look back in amazement and gratitude for the opportunities and the experiences. One such time was when Steve Jobs came to Princeton to speak about this new computer, the NeXT. The auditorium was packed, and Jobs did not disappoint. He revealed to us the wonders of the NeXT with such enthusiasm, confidence, and joy that many of us became believers in the greatness of the NeXT. We wanted to get our hands on these machines and play around with them.

This was years before Jobs returned to Apple. Years before the ipod, years before the iphone and ipad… but already the aura and the mystique were there. Now, if only I had had my ipad with me back then and could have captured it on video!
