To email a photo on an iPad:

1. Open the Photos app.

2. Choose a photo you want to send in the photo collection.

3. Tap the button, which is the rectangle with the arrow, in the upper-right corner.

4. Choose “Email Photo”.

5. Enter your recipient info, subject and body text.

6. Tap the “Send” button.

If you want to save the picture which is attached with an email on iPad, tap on it, and then select “Save Image” from the pop-up menu, and then the picture is immediately saved to your Camera Roll.

On iPad, we can press the Home button twice to show the Multitasking bar, and then we can see all the running apps there.

To save an image in Safari on iPad:

1. Tap and hold on the image until you see a menu appears.

2. Select “Save Image” from the menu.

3. The image is immediately saved to the Photos app.

To protect your information and data on iPad, you can set a passcode.

To set a passcode on iPad:
1. Tap ‘Settings’.
2. Tap ‘General’.
3. Tap ‘Passcode Lock’.
4. Tap ‘Turn Passcode On’.
5. Enter your 4-digit passcode twice.

We can insert emoticons while typing a message on the iPad running iOS 5. We have to add the Emoji keyboard to the iPad before we can use those emoticons.

Please follow the steps below to add the Emoji keyboard to the iPad:

1. Tap the ‘Settings’ app.

2. Tap ‘General’.

3. Tap ‘Keyboard’.

4. Tap ‘International Keyboards’.

5. Tap ‘Add New Keyboard’.

6. Tap ‘Emoji’.

To change the name of your iPad:

1. Tap the ‘Settings’ app.

2. Tap ‘General’.

3. Tap ‘About’.

4. Tap ‘Name’.

5. Remove the old name of your iPad in the box in the right pane named ‘Name’.

6. Type the new name you want in the box.

Please follow the steps below to clear browsing history in Safari on iPad:

1. Tap the ‘Settings’ app.

2. Tap ‘Safari’ in the left pane named ‘Settings’.

3. In the right pane named ‘Safari’, tap ‘Clear History’.

4. Tap the ‘Clear’ button in the dialog box named ‘Clear History’.

(Note you can also remove ‘Cookies’ and ‘Cache’ there.)

To zoom in on any website in Safari on iPad, pinch out with two fingers on the screen. To zoom out again, just pinch in with two fingers.

Besides we can press the ‘Home’ button twice to display the multitasking bar which shows all the running apps on iPad, we can also use four or five fingers to swipe up to reveal the multitasking bar, and then tap on the running app you want to use from the bar.
