For the past several years, the Windows Phone Shell Team has been continually improving the user interface for Windows Phones with the goal of making them incredibly intuitive and engaging to use. The team recently completed work on Windows Phone 7.5 “Mango,” the largest and most feature-rich software refresh of Microsoft’s mobile operating system to date.Read more HERE

Net Applications’ stats show iOS as far and away the most dominant operating system in the market, with 52.10 percent share, followed by Java ME with 21.27 percent.Read more HERE

It is being reported that Microsoft has settled with the novelty company Cellrderm following mediation. The litigation, filed back in July, that claimed Microsoft infringed upon copyrighted content with their “Really?” Windows Phone ad campaign.  Cellrderm ran a similar set of commercials for their novelty cellular abuse aids. A few months ago, Apple’s Tim Cook said he was confident that the company would set an all-time record for iPhone sales in its first quarter (financial results for which will be announced on January 24). If carrier partner Verizon’s recently released fourth quarter figures are any indication, that prediction is looking pretty solid: The cellular company more than doubled its iPhone sales from the previous quarter, with 4.2 million new handsets in customers’ hands. Apple is planning to bid on the rights to Premier League football for the Apple TV, the Daily Mail reports. The Premier League will consider bids for next season as the current deal with Sky and ESPN expires at the end of this season.

Apple was the biggest seller of all-in-one PCs last year, with its iMac line making up 32.9 percent of the all-in-ones sold worldwide, according to estimates by DisplaySearch published in Bloomberg. Read more HERE
